‘Clementine’ refers both to a fruit and a common female name. When placed with ‘Blue’, it suggests a slippage in tone and meaning.

The ‘Clementine’ maintains a non-personified status, which is touched, projected onto, exposed, and continually returning to itself. It does not point to a fixed identity or experience, but rather marks a shifting position within a relationship, one that moves between subject and object.
